On the road again!

After what seems to be a very long winter we made the most of the sunshine today. Jon had to work this morning so when he came home we decided to go for a bike ride. We went to Whitby, then over the moors through Danby, Castleton, Blakey and stopped for a coffee in Hutton - le-Hole. We then went onto Pickering, Thornton-le-Dale then over Pickering Moor to home. We timed it just right - if we had gone any further we would have arrived home in the cold - we JUST pipped it! A chinese takeaway and bottle of wine! A great weekend!

  10. Can't beat that for a day out on a beginning of spring weekend ~ I can picture some of the places you rode through. In 2000, we ended up at the Pickering traction engine rally! It was amazing.

My word verification word is wooff, which made me smile ... isn't that the sound of a motorbike whipping by? ;)

  12. Oooh! what fun [had our honeymoon in Helmsley, so your ride in that part of the world brought back wonderful memories!] We WILL tax the bike again soon and get out on the road. Till then I am enjoying your rides, vicariously [as a clergy wife, I feel well qualified to use that word]

    Blessings xx
