I want to go there next year! It's simply gorgeous! Imagine those roses still in bloom now...mine have buds that are turning sort of mushy. But the tree colours are stunning!
Wonderful, my mother used to live in Grosmont and I know it well - we used to play in what was the old brick yard, and down through the woods to the fords over the river Esk. Beautiful autumn images, and someone looks like they enjoyed the walkies!
What a perfectly wonderful post today. My husband usually walks the dog. Apparently I don't walk fast enough, so Lindy just sits down and looks at me, or else refuses to walk with me at all. She stands beside my car as if to say, "You drive, I'll ride." But just a few minutes ago I told my husband, "You might walk the dog, but I get my exercise letting the dog out, letting the dog in, letting the dog out, letting the dog in..." He can't hear her scratch at the back door. I would love to do more walking, but I'm afraid to get too far away in case I can't get back. So I enjoyed your walk today, enormously.

Oh my I was so happy you dropped in on my blog and read about poor old Bossy. This gave me a chance to see your wonderful blog. I do love this walk with you. I can see myself sitting on the hill on that little bench watching and listening. What a great place you live. I love your dog. Thanks for taking me along. Lovly photos. B
