Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Last Thursday I met up with my friend Maria for a cuppa. These are our favourite treats.

My favourite part is the centre - vanilla custard!

For those of you who are aware of my diet observe the facts....
1. They look like eggs - eggs are healthy!
2. Apricots are part of my daily fruit intake
3. They are gorgeous!

Jon catching up on paperwork - Bing and Elsie at his feet!

  2. Oh dear Mrs. Nesbitt. It's 7:30 a.m. here and breakfast time and I DON"T have any of those yummy things! Now see what you have done! LOL Bing and Elsie are spoiled aren't they? I have one of those spoiled things with fur that lives here, too. Pathetically spoiled. Hmmm, wonder how that happened? ;)

  5. I might well adopt that sit on the settee pose for catching up on paperwork rather than sitting at my desk Denise. As for those CAKES - yes whatever you say about your diet and what you should eat, they are CAKES - oh my goodness, how I want one.

    1. They are a standard choice in Nero's Pat. I am sure there is a Neros in Northallerton.

  9. Oh, I love vanilla custard pastries.
And dogs. Bing doesn't seem to mind being a foot-rest. Such a nice warm foot-rest, the tummy of a puppy (a fast-growing puppy).

  10. Bing is HUGE ! what happened to that little sweet baby boy !
Bill Crosby has a funny story about feeding the kids chocolate cake for breakfast... it has eggs, milk, it goes on and on so funny.
Those pastries look so good. Is the custard under the apricots.
    Now I want one !

    cheers, parsnip

    1. AP no the custard has a WHOLE piece of the pastry to itself - it is inside the centre part between the apricots! I eat one apricot part, then the other apricot part then after a brief pause for a drink of tea........the cuctard part!

  11. I share your fruit (apricot) philosophy!
And I like your take on eggs!
It is hard to beat a nice cuppa, a good pastry and a chat with a friend, so it's important to value these and enjoy them!
