That seagull picture is a classic! :)
Yes, grey, wet and windy here too - supposed to be better tomorrow. We took the grandchildren swimming, including Ruby (10 weeks!) - good fun! Love your pics! Fish and chips sounds a good idea today!
LucyThanks - I cropped it - they were watching us eat our fisn and chips - it was quite funny really!VintageFish & chips were gorgeous, a little naughty but hey ho once in a while and all that eh?
It may be wet but those pictures are cheery Denise!
I love the expressions in that top photo :-) It has been pretty wet here too.
Akelamalu Yes we did have a giggle! lol! CherryPieIt would have been funny to know what they were saying about us! lol!
Ooh Whitby fish & chips - you've got me all jealous now - never mind the rain - worth it for f&c.
GeraldAbsolutely! I am still full! Dx
Hopeful looking swans - or perhaps they fancied solid land for once.
eee fish 'n'chips at Whitby on a wet grey afternoon - perfect!
Oh, Denise, I LOVE those pictures. The seagulls look really p*ssed off that it's raining, and they want your fish and chips. It's wonderful!Hmmm... fish and chips. It's almost lunch time here. That gives me an idea. :-)
I also chuckled at the first photo ~ if ever there were two perturbed gulls, you captured their expressions so well! Sounds like you made the best of a dull grey day!
The seagull picture is fabulous. I always wanted to visit Whitby but never made it ... maybe one day.
Whitby looks a lovely little place. I'm cracking up!!!!! Just love that seagull picture. They look really peed off and that is unusual for seagulls. They must be used to bad weather. Its been raining here too...... all day.Must say, I like that suggestion of a green glass panel. It is my porch door not the front door as other people seem to think.Maggie XNuts in May
Love those gulls! I was just watching "Fantasy Homes by the Sea" with Catherine Gee and they were in North Yorkshire and Whitby. It looks beautiful there! When I come, will we be able to go to the coast for a day? How far inland are you? And we'd just have to have fish 'n chips!
Leslie -We are about 9 miles from Whitby - about 30 mins in car, 10 mins on motorbike (lol) Yes we will spend days at the coast - so many different locations to choose from. Secluded beaches, Whitby, Scarborough, Flamborough, Bridlington - yes we can do them all! Oh and definately fish & chips!!
It's MANY years since I had Whitby fish and chips, I can smell that lovely vinegary aroma now...
I love Whitby, I even have a picture of it on my wall. Sounds like just the thing to cheer you up on a wet Sunday.
Nowt like Whitby Fish 'n' Chips to cheer you up! We're further away but it's still worth the trip.
"Oh for gawds sake they've put flippin vinegar on!"Jane x
