"Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, 'Where have I gone wrong?'
Then a voice says to me, 'This is going to take more than one night.'"

This mornings quotation made me smile! Hope it does the same for you!
Will be pottering today - Jon is beavering away at the workshop with urgent jobs that need to be delivered/collected tomorrow. The sky is looking absolutely horrible so I want to take Freida up the lane before the rain comes. Yes, such dull weather is the perfect setting for a good old dose of housework and laundry! and believe me I am reved up to do such chores! Widow Twanky mode for me today!
I will explain next time why I feel empowered to wash for England and cook for an army - must get on!

It's grim isn't it? I went off to Roseberry Topping this morning but just turned the car round and came home, it was too rainy :( so am sat listing ebay items instead which is enough to make you WANT to go out in the rain!
ReplyDeleteThe photo looks like the opening scene to a murder mystery! You got rain..we got snow.Swap?

Hi Mrs N -that sky really does look threatening doesnt it. Thanks for your lovely comment it really got me moving out of a bit of a rut. January can get you that way cant it? Work is hectic but id let myself forget how much blogging takes my mind off the day to day stuff - thanks for the nudge x
ReplyDeleteLooks like the end of the world is nigh! We had dark clouds the other day but yours takes the biscuit!
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic picture.
I have a busy week ahead and I will have to let things go even more than usual so I hope I get a slot for feverish clearing up soon! I think I will probably fit blogging in first though!

Nuts in May
so I think CS had more tenacity than some that need immediate gratification
ReplyDeleteYes it made me smile :-)
ReplyDeleteFunny quote :) That sky looks absolutely ominous, but love the way the green sets it off. Hope you had a productive busy day...
ReplyDeleteThat sky looks treacherous, especially as I see the sun shining through my window. It's a five minute wonder though, snow is forecast... AGAIN.
ReplyDeleteHa! that little quote made me smile too Denise. I love a dark sky, so bothersome, what's going to burst out of....and I so love a good storm; Paticularly if I'm snug and warm in front of a roaring log fire...Oh, and a warm mince pie and an espresso in hand...heaven! Incidentally is that quote by Shultz of 'Charlie Brown'?
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day...Di.xx
That's a very good quote!! And very true.

Great quote Denise.
ReplyDeleteIt's strange how sometimes one gets the urge to wash everything in sight isn't it? ;)
Been a lovely day here today Denise - all my washing has dried.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You won my 100th post giveaway. I'll get it in the mail to me as soon as you get me your mailing address. You can email it to me:

Weather has been grim here lately, weeks of grey skies. They are threatening sunshine tomorrow in this area, so I will wait and see!
ReplyDeleteHi, Mrs.N,
ReplyDeleteI love the 'happiest' quote. Hope you have the return of the sunshine today! (Tues). Am laid up with tweaked back, but still managed to bake some brownies sitting down first thing. Even small housekeeping revs the spirits. Crack on!
