Q is for Question.....

In our QUEST to re-vamp our house we went looking at carpets.....well when I say WE LOOKED it would be more accurate to say I DRAGGED Jon into the carpet showroom!
Question - "Do you like looking at carpets?"

I was first into the showroom (no surprises there) and noticed a carpet which caught my eye. On entering the shop, Jon walked over to where I was standing (bearing in mind there were several rolls of carpet on display) and pointing to the one I had earmarked announced "That one - I really like that one!" Once I had come round we did a calculation and left the shop to talk it over.
We are not ready for the carpet yet - the plasterer can not come until 28th November - but I did have a colour in mind! (wait and see!).....any ideas?
We returned the following day and put a deposit on the carpet - I was convinced the world and his wife wanted the same colour! lol!

Now - answering queries about our church - here are some photographs of the inside - I am sure you will agree it is a typicl quentesentialyl british church - notice the norman arch!

  11. No No No...
    No carpet ! hahahahahahahah....
You have big dog, wet Springs, Winter snow, ice, dirty slush with muddy Falls... how can you keep your carpets clean ? That would drive me crazy.

I have tile in my home with a few smallish area rug. So much easier to keep the floors clean. Especially when one of your dogs likes to throw up.

So glad that you both liked the same choice, with no debates.

Thank you for the extra photos of the church !
Wonderful interior and again what a beautiful area you live in. I so want to live there.

    cheers, parsnip

  12. I've always hated choosing carpets because I can't make up my mind, then when I do I'm convinced I've made the wrong choice until it arrives.

  16. He picked the one you liked? You've obviously been married a while. LOL
I hate wall-to-wall carpeting, but we have it because we have cold, cold winters, so it came with the house. I'd rather have good quality linoleum throughout, with area rugs. I keep buying dog-colored area rugs and putting them on top of the wall-to-wall where it has been irreparably stained, but they won't stay put.
Really looking forward to seeing how your remodeling turns out. Quick quick!

  18. This morning we went to see the installer start laying laminate in the house we just left to move to town, in place of the carpet we had first envisioned. I like carpeting, but hate vacumning! The church and village pictures are perfect, Denise. How you must cherish the history of St. Michaels.
