T is for Tempting you with a Taste of what is to come!

A few weeks ago our lounge looked like this......

It hadn't worked for a while......so Jon hatched a plan....

and he built this....

Yesterday the plasterer worked his magic and the coving was added to make it appear it had always been there!

today the room continues to dry out....

Next week it will be U for unveil - until then I have to crack on and sort out the room, ready for the decorator and the carpet fitter. Can you guess the colour of the carpet? Remember - these are the curtains..

  4. How about a bluey greyish creamy brown - that should just about cover all eventualities Denise.

What didn't work the room layout or the wall ? Did you add the bump out ? what ever you did it looks great. Can't wait to see more.

Since you talked about how special the carpet was and you bought it that second at the sore, I am thinking a sage green ?

Excitement ! just like waiting for Christmas morning unwrapping a present !

  12. Lucky you to have someone handy around the house. Not sure if the dog sitting by the fireplace is real or a statue. But if it’s real, it will certainly be comfy once the carpet is in. I’m thinking it will be sea green. :)

  15. The curtains give you a lot of good options for your carpet. Throwing the dice, I'd say the green... :-)

  19. Hope the plaster's gone off now (technical term for drying out;-))

I wonder if your carpet will pick up the blue or the green in your curtains - or any of the three or four other colours - or it might be a complete contrast. Can't wait to see it:-)
