Jon is working today - so I will busy myself pottering, tidying and cleaning, and remembering.

  3. My Dad died like that very suddenly of a heart attack too.I still miss him so much. Your tribute was beautifully written.
    He was a real Dad to you, even tho he only came into your life when you were 7. Praying that your day is full of sweet memories of good times - I am sure he would be SO proud of all you have done and all that you are.

  8. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful tribute to your dad!
    I'm not sure about the phrase 'blood is thicker than water' - my dad is my stepdad really, but I thank my lucky stars that I have him in my life, and couldn't love him any more than I do. It sounds like you feel exactly the same about Uncle Jack! I hope you enjoy happy memories today. -x-

  14. My Dad passed away when I was 15 (35 years!!) And Time has just flown by. Your Dad will never be far from you :)
