New Shoes!
These are my new trainers. Apparently they will tone up my legs muscles. They certainly make me taller! I haven't used them for running yet - cos I don't really "do" running - never feel comfortable. I guess I will begin by walking briskly when out with Freida!
Last night at Slimming World I received my Club 10 award - meaning I have lost 10% of my initial body weight - and to date I am continuing to lose weight.....there are changes I have made to my diet and I hope to lose a further few pounds......so would the odd little trot around help matters?

You'll certainly tone up, but isn't muscle heavier that fat???
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Sandie xx
I just got new ones, too, and I certainly don't run. I got them because they fit my orthotic insoles. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm losing weight v-e-r-y slowly, which they say is the best way, but it sure doesn't feel like it to me.
Congratulations on your success!

Can't wait to hear how the shoes work. And if you like them.
ReplyDeleteHere in America they had a big report that said they don't really work any better than regular shoes so........ I am very interested to see how you like them and if they really help your leg muscles !
cheers, parsnip
I have lost 30 lbs in the last 6 months just by doing my physical therapy exercises, which includes 20 minutes walking 2 or 3 times a week. I've also been eating a lot of fruit. I didn't do all this to lose weight but to alleviate pain from my fibromyalgia and not take any pain pills which were giving me other more serious problems. But it was a nice extra benefit. I still have the pain but it is more manageable now.
ReplyDeleteWhen I run, I look like a jelly in a typhoon...
ReplyDeleteI think those shoes are far too nice to get dirty.
ReplyDeleteKath - were we sisters at birth? lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks gals - tongue in cheek about expected outcome - as a blonde I liked the colour more than anything else - any added benefits will be welcome and noted xxx

I don't run, but I'd love a pair of trainers like yours. You're doing really well with the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteI like the colour of the trainers, but I don't think that I would want to run in those platform like soles.
ReplyDeletecan you share the eating regimen that was so successful fro you /who makes ther shoes?/
ReplyDeletewhat are the exact shoes called these exactly I love them sandy aili
ReplyDeleteI don't do running either Denise but brisk walking is good exercise. Well done with the weight loss.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like a complete stranger popping up on your blog and giving advice... but you did end your post with a question.
ReplyDeleteSandie (first commenter) brings up an excellent point. The scale is not your friend. You can lose fat, gain muscle, and end up the exact same weight but much fitter, and different measurements! (Smaller waist, etc.)
Without getting preachy, I'm just going to say two things. Eat paleo. Eat primal.
It's the easiest and most delicious way of living I've ever experienced, and I've lost 25 pounds in 2 months. Wearing my skinny jeans again.
If you're interested, check out the blogs written by Sarah Fragoso (she has wonderful recipes!), Robb Wolf (he's got all the nutritional details), and Mark Sisson (good exercise tips).
You don't need special shoes, you'll save hundreds of dollars a month on groceries while eating as much as you like, whenever you are hungry, and at whatever time of day you feel like eating.
Cheers!
Hey, well done with the weight loss! Let us know how the new 'running shoes' go, I've heard different reports of them!
