Prior to our decorating project, the hall looked like this.
Now it looks like this.
We went with a grey carpet.
The landing before.....
During....
and after.
A blue carpet in the main bedroom.
Colours used - Farrow & Ball Strong White for landing and hallway walls. Pavillion Grey for wall above radiator in hall. This can't be seen really in photograph 2 but the different shade can be just made out. We are waiting for the radiator to be returned from the sand blasting process and then we will finish it off with a mirror I spotted!
Watch this space!
it certainly looks very different! Don't thump me, but I must say I LOVED the tiles in your hallway :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was old lino Kath and cracked. 56 years had taken it's toll xx
DeleteI did too until I heard about the lino aspect! I do like that grey carpet though and I'm a great believer in painting woodwork.
DeleteThat looks super- it IS surprising how much is added to the final appearance by the new doorknobs! Great project- well done x
ReplyDeleteIsn't it good to sit back and feel the satisfaction.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking fabulous. I'm not surprised you're pleased with it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely Denise. Really fresh and classy. Well done!
ReplyDeleteIs the handrail also Pavilion Grey?
The white looks very clean and new. I have to say that I would come down hard on anyone who tried to paint my lovely stained oak trim. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely -- fresh and airy. Lots of hard work but well worth it.
ReplyDeleteLovely !
ReplyDeleteSometimes you have to bite the bullet and paint the wood. The entry and staircase look so open, clean and not so dark !
How are the Chickens ?
cheers, parsnip
