P is for Progress!
Dieting is a difficult beast to deal with.......but once in a while we need to take stock and see not where we are heading, but where we have been!
I was MORTIFIED when a friend posted this first picture of me...it prompted me to take control!
The journey I have travelled has given me an insight into the foods I eat and enjoy....of examining the fat and sugar content in what I eat. Processed foods in particular. I enjoy my food now as I always have, but feel better for the choice I have taken.
I have met new friends too - an important role in our journey towards a healthier life. These people will remain friends for life...we certainly between us will have a longer one!
Nearly there now!

ReplyDeleteWel done Denise you look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteDenise, you look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you and your progress.
Dieting with others for support certainly helps doesn't it?
Good for you. You look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteWOW! You look GREAT! These 'rewards' are so powerful too! For me the reward of losing weight is going clothes shopping and having to chose what looks best as opposed to hoping they all fit!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your progress. You look great. Carver, ABC-Wed. Team
ReplyDeleteYou look great.
ReplyDeleteI have been much more comfortable riding on the pillion since I lost weight!

it's not easy to eat healthy without the support of your family and friends. congratulations!

Well done Denise - not only are you looking great but you're looking happier too :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing difference - you must be so proud of yourself. It sure is hard but when you think of the benefits it is so worth all the hard work.
ReplyDeletecongratulations!!! you have done it. i need to make progress too.
ReplyDeleteWow, way to go!!! Great that you've made new friends in your dieting journey, they make such a difference, don't they?!
ReplyDeleteWhen you see a person most days you dont really see the change in them if they are loosing weight,it is only when you see before and after photos that you realise how well they have done.Well done Denise you have worked so hard to get where you are today Im very proud of you.Love Jill xxx
ReplyDeletewell done Denise, you look like a million dollars and Jon looks very proud of you.
ReplyDeleteYou are very inspiring Denise, - I have been trying on clothes today and have been feeling quite dismal about how they fit - I must follow your example. Nothing like a picture to prod us into dieting!!!
ReplyDeleteHuge PATS on your back for you! I'm still struggling along being tempted constantly by the pie, cookies, ice-cream, etc. that DL eats in the evenings. But even though it's a slow process, I will persevere to reach my goal. Eventually.

Well done on your great achievement! I've been on a weight loss path myself recently... it is very rewarding :-)
ReplyDeleteGood job! You look wonderful! It sounds like you have figured out that you are not so much dieting as making a permanent change to your food and lifestyle choices. Not deprivation at all, since unprocessed foods taste great! Side benefit: a longer, healthier and consequently happier life.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!!! I like to lose some weight by July, but I don't have the discipline, so I have NO Progress.
ReplyDeleteWow, you look so much better! It's true, its the choices we make of what food to eat that counts. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteYou've done really well there! I'll start my diet tomorrow...!

You have done so well, Denise! You've lost way faster than I have. Mind you, taking the dog for long walks, swimming, and exercise class does help. Because of my back, I have to be so careful not to make things worse. But even though it's slow and slogging work, it is working! Kudos to you! :D
ReplyDeleteI think you hit the nail on the head when you say taking control of your life Denise - sometimes I think we get into the habit of stuffing food unnecessarily. One rule I now stick to is never to eat between meals. Well done with your weight loss.
ReplyDeleteYou look so fab!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You look wonderful!
