Jobs next on list here - remove fireplace and take down remaining dado rail and carpet then strip paper ready for re-plastering, then new skirting and edging round the door. Lighting needs sorting too.......but today the sun is shining so it can wait for a couple of days. The back breaking stuff has been done I reckon once the lighting is sorted I could have this room ready for re-plastering in a day.
Gosh, you're moving like the speed of light. It's all beginning to look rather nice.
ReplyDeleteGood Grief! You're like a whirlwind! Although it's nice to see some one has time for a cuppa along the way ;)
ReplyDeleteYour Aga Saga is rivalling the Forsythe Saga ;)
It's been great catching up. Mo
Glad everything is going to plan, you'll be done in no time.
ReplyDeleteSounds like everything is going to plan. :)
ReplyDeleteYour rate of work puts ours to shame. Ho hum! The sun is shining today so perhaps we'll work in the garden . . .
ReplyDeletedoesn't it look more spacious already?
ReplyDeleteWell done on the hard work.
Sandie xx
How sad that you removed picture rail, they are one of the features of our old house that we love and make full use of. Love too, the deep skirting boards, old panelled doors with locks, so many features that people want to remove these days, but which for me, give the place character. Will you be putting yours back?
ReplyDeleteHey presto, as if by magic!
ReplyDeleteWhen you are done, I have a whole house needs renovating. Summer in Canada perhaps?

Gosh, you don't hang around, do you?! Well done! x
ReplyDeleteThis is like one of those makeover programmes on TV. Looking forward to the next bit. ;)

ReplyDeleteThe picture rails and dado rails were not original. Our house is an ex-police house and lacked any character at all. Basic square rooms. The house was built in 1956 so we are improving it's character. Trust me. Dxx
What a hoot you live in an old police house, that is very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI like what you have done so far in the "Snug" Removing the picture rail seems to open the space up already.
You are moving a the speed of Superman... great job so far !
cheers, parsnip
hey that looks much better for losing the picture rail. We have them here, an original feature, but on their own, with no dado rail.
ReplyDeleteLike you, I have fizzled out a bit with painting the dining room, the sunshine has lured me outside!
just catching up with your news!
