There's a lot of pipe work and electric stuff going on at the moment - the doorway going into the snug had to have a major wire running up it, so this.......
became this!
And just look at my curtains - aren't they wonderful? My neighbour and I have been working away over the past couple of days! These are in the main lounge and will be packed away when we start in there - but we hung them to judge length etc. I am well pleased.
Isn't it good being married to such a handy man! Love the curtains.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat - the kit for the curtains was only £40 and will do an 8' patio door (as in pic) a 5' patio door and a 7' window - excellent value eh? Yes it is good being married to such a handy chap - he has saved us hundreds! Dxx
ReplyDeleteoooh, you're getting on well. Lovely curtains - I didn't know you could get a kit to do giant eyelets like that - I had an eyelet punch years ago - but it was for making shoe-lace size holes. Have a good weekend - hope you don't freeze! Abby x
ReplyDeleteOooh, what fun to see some "in progress" photos! Stay warm,
ReplyDeleteLeslie
Coming along nicely Denise. Love the curtains, now put them away before they get dirty. ;)
ReplyDeleteVintage - Dunelm Mill sell the ruflette type tape and the eyelets snap on! So easy - well with help from a talented neighbour!
ReplyDeleteLeslie - thanks hun
Pearl - yes, away soon.
How weird to feel excited at seeing pictues of someones wall! But I do, it's very infectious :)
ReplyDeleteNice curtains too. Stay warm!
It's good to see the progress. Hope the rest of the house is soon warm again.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you can cook a meal, have a wash, and sleep somewhere comfortable then it's OK.
ReplyDeleteWhoever said that obviously never had any renovation work done!
Remember to tidy up after yourself (he he he).

Looking forward to following you progress
ReplyDeletegreat curtains !!Sandy
ReplyDeleteI hope that you know what you are doing with all this building work. We have done it twice and NEVER again! It will look good when it is all finished.
ReplyDeleteI do like your curtains!! Very nice indeed. Such a soothing combination of colours. :)
ReplyDeleteYour curtains look lovely, and it sounds like you are both busily working away in your upside down house ~ ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely curtains -- delicate colors. Love the excuse for not exercising, on your side bar! Don't know if my doctor would be impressed.
ReplyDeleteYour curtainly are lovely, you've done a good job with them. I do like the eyelets, so much less faffy than hooks.
ReplyDeleteCurtainly? Of course I meant curtains.
ReplyDeleteLove the curtains and the fittings. I only recently saw some with the pole actually going through the material instead of having all those heavy rings. I'm trying to persuade hubs that we need a change.
ReplyDeleteAh you're so lucky...you have curtains. I don't even have windows...just spaces where they're gonna go!
