Post 200 - A giveaway and DIY Day 1!

We started on the first part of the Kitchen DIY today. As the building work must take place first we had to prepare the space for a doorway to the snug....so this



and this....


 
became this.




We started at 10 am and finished around 4pm! Needless to say we are very tired but enjoyed every minute!
As I have mentioned previously, all the wooden units will be utilised elsewhere in the house.
So post 200 eh? I had to set up this blog when my previous one developed problems on a big scale - I had about 900 + posts over there so I have been around quite a bit! lol!
To celebrate I am having a giveaway - I have a number of items - so if you would like to take part, just leave a comment. 
I wont be blogging a great deal over the next few days - but will be back with more pictures!

    I'm sure you'll be stressed to the max but remember it will all be worth it in the end. I know you've been planning this for some time and really considered all the details. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. :D

    Please enter me in to your giveaway. Having just re-done our kitchen and bathroom I know how you feel and the total upheavel of it all. But just think of the end product and it will all be worth it. Incidentally, I have sorted out my visitor counter eventually. Thanks. Ann x

    And there was me thinking that having decided to choose a paint colour for the kitchen it was all done....you mean I am going to have to shift stuff and actually slap it on the walls???????

    That brings back memories of when we refit our kitchen. We blocked up a door and a window and ended up with just an empty room and had the floor tiled and the walls plastered ready for the new units. I thought we were never going to be straight! Can't wait to see your work in progress.

    Glad to hear you will be utilising the old units, they're really nice.

    The place will be great when you have finished but it is a bit tiring when you are in the middle of it. I envy you that Aga. I grew up with one and it was so much cosier than our gas fire which can't be used for anything else but heat. I'd be delighted if you would enter me in your giveaway - thanks!
