Some time ago I detected an irriitation in my back. Put it down to the skirt I was wearing - elastic waistband matters.
Fast forward to Wednesday - Slimming World to be precise ( oh another 2.5lb loss and Slimmer of the week award!) sorry I am rambling........so as I was bending over my fleece crept up to reveal some flesh! (too much information!) my pal Jill commented on a rash on my back. Well as I can't really see my back I wasn't alarmed - certainly couldn't feel any discomfort! A couple of other people commented too. A worried text later urged me to go to the doctor........turns out I have Shingles! I explained to the doctor I wasn't stressed, worried or such like and was too busy to take things easy.....but there you go!
Yikes! Take it easy, Denise - shingles can be very unpleasant.
ReplyDeleteShingles can be very painful.
ReplyDeleteLucky you got it on your back and not near your eyes, as someone I know once did. Very nasty.
Hope you don't feel ill with it.

Nuts in May
Yes, everyone I know who had them complained bitterly. Feel better.
ReplyDeleteThanks girls - we reckon I have had it for over a week - lets hope I have got over the worst of it but I will be taking it easy I promise. xxxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Roger - us caped crusaders eh? lol!
ReplyDeleteOh poor you. Time to get some pampering methinks!
ReplyDeleteWish I lived nearer (no, I wish YOU lived nearer!) and I would come round and spoil you!
Hope it's a mild dose. It can be nasty and linger for a long time. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYou have all my sympathy. In adults we call it "Hell's fire" (Helvetesild), and it is not without reason.
ReplyDeleteSo soay calm and put the kettle on :-)
The good news is that it DOES GET BETTER but not nice to begin with.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that, Denise. Try to relax more and take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you Denise and know you won't let this get you down, but please take things a bit more easy. Have a terrific weekend.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's the modelling career on hold for a bit!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better really soon.

ReplyDeleteMust be all the renovating and Christmas crafting you're doing. You must slow down and rest or it will just get worse and take longer to run its course. Hope you're feeling better soon! Sending hugs {{{you}}}
ReplyDeleteAww Thgank You so much everybody - yes I think I will have a little rest. xxx
ReplyDeleteEasier said than done to take it easy....but, TAKE IT EASY !!!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely, quiet weekend,
Sandie xx
Oh no not that! I had that! You must keep warm. Use heat patches, hot water bottles. Rest up your legs, drink lots of water and you need lots of stressless sleep! IF NOTHING HELPS ASK FOR AN ANTI VIRAL CREAM AND DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! It can help attack it at the poiint of the rash. Even cold sore cream can help!
ReplyDeleteBIG hugs being sent your way. Hope you get better soon!
Thanks everybody - yes i AM taking it easy. The house can wait. We are not entertaining this Christmas so there is NO RUSH or sense of urgency for ANYTHING! Now - where's that book I was reading? Dxx
ReplyDeleteKeep warm Denise - that is the most important thing with shingles this time of the year. Hope you are soon well again.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you don't feel ill with Shingles! Look after yourself Denise. x
