Angela has started a new theme each Thursday - I am going to join in. Basically people interested share any ideas or thoughts on thrifty solutions.
My contribution is frregle - or freecycle as it was.
Basically find a freegle group near you and see the daily e-mails from people seeking items as well as giving away items.

I notice today somebody is looking for a ladies wig as well as a pigeon loft!
My mind has been boggling all morning! lol!

  1. It's a great idea! My friend in France tells me that they have a village barter system. I love that idea.

  2. I have never used free cycle before, but do want to get rid of an old washer and dryer, so may use that or Kijiji. It's not worth selling but they are in working order, so someone should take them.

Thanks for popping by my blog and commenting,

  3. Wow..just catching up and your kitchen is looking fantastic, you must be thrilled with the progress. We have re jig here, which is a centre where people leave clothes furniture and bric a brac, and you can buy from there at a minimal price. I have collected china tea sets and an arm chair from there. It is very popular on the island.

  6. I haven't used freegle before, but have a fireplace that we removed when we moved in which is too good to go to the tip as it has a marble back and hearth. I might give it a go. Thanks for popping in at Beyond the Nook - it means I have another blog to explore- love your new kitchen!

  7. I personally think bartering is the way to go. In these days of money shortage and every one having to watch their pennies.
