View from the kitchen window and the Weekend

001

Just as we were having our breakfast yesterday we spotted this little chap nibbling away at the bird food! lol! The weather has been glorious. On Saturday we went to Harrogate on the motorbike to surprise our friends Dorothy and Keith. Dorothy is a fantastic cook, in fact they are great hosts but we didn’t want to put them to any trouble so it was just a cup of tea call.

Yesterday we went up to Northumberland with our friends John and Trish. We stopped at Corbridge for lunch then continued to Rothbury, we had a great day, travelling 200 miles in all.

It was great to get out and enjoy the sunshine. It is raining as I type, so we definately made the most of the weather I think. Now it is back to the DIY! We are moving onto the lounge now!

Like you, we have a few spots of rain. I'm indoors waxing the kitchen table :-D

  2. It must have felt good to have a break from all that work. After the recent lovely weather we're baek to cold, windy and rain. Hey ho!

  3. Lovely trip out! We had a shorter one than your 200 miles yesterday, but it's always nice to get out of the house for a bit of different scenery.

  4. We've had rain here earlier, but it's sunny again now, though a little cooler than it's been over the weekend. Sounds like you made the most of the weather on Saturday and Sunday.

  7. Hello. Thankyou for stopping by my blog and having such nice things to say, Glad you enjoyed the weekend weather and got out and about. I love Farrow and Ball paint and I want to paint a dresser top that I picked up at the Shepton Mallet Antiques Fair with some of their paint. I notice you like The Moody Blues, when I was a teenager one of them lived nextdoor to my brother in Shard End Birmingham, It was John Lodge and they used to do their practising there too so my brother got to hear their tunes before anyone else. I look forward to seeing your room finished.

  8. Wasn't the weather glorious this weekend? We had two of the grandchildren stay overnight on Friday and took them to the park on Saturday morning. Yesterday MWM and I hopped on the train to the Trackside, Bury, and sat in the sun all afternoon drinking real ale! Aaaaahhhhh....
