From nowhere the front border became the popular place for the weeds....in particular the one which smells of garlic. A good session sorted it out and I was in the throws of clearing it all when rain stopped play. Nevertheless still can see results.
I find removing dandelion roots very therapeutic.
Again still some finishing off but a big improvement.
The front lawn is looking much better - the prepared, dug over area in between Jon and Elsie will be turfed.
A good morning's work.....then the rain arrived. Dam good timing!
Sometimes rain arrives at an opportune moment giving you time to rest those aching muscles:-)
ReplyDeleteAgree Jabblog...last night's bath was so welcome I can tell you.
DeleteAt least you got some gardening done, been raining since the word go here.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's looking good as a result. I do love the colour of that fence!
The blue is a Farrow and Ball Pitch Blue No. 220 Jessica.
DeleteLovely to share your gardening day! Glad the weather held out. You wouldn't have got much done here. You'd have been rained off!

Good old weather.
ReplyDeleteWe got all our garden up to spec when we had those (two) nice days a couple of weeks ago, though with all the rain we've had since you'd never guess!
ReplyDeleteSorry I've not been around here much Denise, for some reason your posts haven't been showing up in my reader! Hopefully the problem's resolved now so I can keep up.
Mother Nature was telling you stop and rest or at lest that is what I keep telling myself when I stop work.
ReplyDeleteYour yard looks wonderful plus the two "lawn ornaments" are quite charming.
