RIP Ernest

Was sad to discover Ernest our little cockerel had died in his sleep. His little call welcoming a new day will be sadly missed especially by his soulmate Mabel x

  12. Would you like another cockerel to replace him Denise? If so then please let me know as we have farmer friends who have several roaming round their yard and they are always pleased to give one away.

  13. Always a sad time, losing a chicken. People think they are 'only birds' but they are so much more than that. I always snivel when one of mine goes.

  14. So sorry. He was a handsome chap indeed. My neighbour keeps rescue hens and I love to see them running about. They all love them. When they sit outside in the summer, it isn't unusual to see one of the chickens sitting up on someone's lap! I love it when they sunbathe too, and scratch a little dip into the soil to sit in........ I do hope Mabel will be ok....

    ))hugs((
