Whether the weather be fine,
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot,
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!
As we have had some lovely weather this week I decided it was time to swap our winter duvet for our summer one........how wrong could I have been!
This morning the weather deteriorated and the snow started falling - then laying!
We tootled over the Moors to Jill and Phil's for a cuppa.
Home via Whitby and the inevitable fish and chips!
Did you see snow?
No snow here, but lots of rain. Right now I can see some clearing off to the west so I think we might get a bit of sun this afternoon. Stay warm and cosy and get that winter duvet back out. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe winter duvet is well and truly back Leslie! lol!
DeleteWe had about 8 inches over 2 days, yet it is about gone!
ReplyDeleteAll gone today Roger - looks wonderful but very very cold!

ReplyDeleteAye Jill - sitting round the kitchen table eh? We'll be sitting round again on Friday - but a different table. Bet there'll be plenty of laughing eh?

Jane - I do, as viewed from your window! Looking forward to Spring?
DeleteEnjoyed this post, but only because our snow seems to be leaving. On the other hand, the road is flooding where our cars are parked. Dick and the dog went for a walk, and the dog rolled over onto her back in the slush to have her tummy rubbed. It took Dick a long time to dry her off when they got home.
ReplyDeleteSo, it isn't spring here yet, whether there's weather or not.
K
Dogs and snow eh Kay? lol!
DeleteYou were definitely a bit previous with the duvet Denise!
ReplyDeleteIndeed Pearl - we even considered going to Harrogate on the motorbike - thank goodness we didn't!
Deletebig snowflakes but didn't settle in the south!
ReplyDeleteSpringlike now Grace! British weather eh?
DeleteNo snow fell here yesterday but it was a wet day until around four in the afternoon. The farmer had been planning to walk with a couple of friends through the old lead mine workings above Surrender bridge. They decided not to go as it would have undoubtedly been snowing up there.
ReplyDeletefog first things both days and the tor hardly visible, but both days turned sunny with a cold wind.
ReplyDeleteThe snow seems a long time ago. I did smile about your summer duvet. Being of a certain age I have been sleeping under a 4.5 tog for the last 3-4 years :-O
Great post, very witty!! I know what you mean. Thought it was going to be a lovely weekend and took spring-like clothes to my mums. Should have taken my brolly and mac!!

Love the pics. We have had a light snow shower here today (Wed) sunny one minute, raining then snow the next. Really quite cold. I won't be changing my duvet over until about May! I still have my electric blanket on at night!
