Someone sent that video clip to me -- it is truly inspiring and quite emotional for me to think that there are so many others out there who are believers too. The nativity figures are beautiful. I would have liked to try making them but I already have too many things to do and I need to curb my enthusiasm somewhat.
I made the whole manger, although the donkey looks a bit off (the pattern came out several years later). I can't put it on display though, since my cats love anything made from wool/yarn!
Is she fit to be in charge of that baby:-)Love the shepherds. Wonderful flash mob, I always get a bit teary with the hallelujah chorus at Christmas. You will have to use the King James bible version for your text next year, its the anniversary. Look on this as a request,LOL.
Oh … the knitted items are awesome. And the video clip actually made me cry tears of joy. I would love to run into these people at the mall. Thank you so much for sharing. Hope you don’t mind if I provide a link to the same video in my next post. :)
Marvelous, - I have seen this video before, but every time I do it really touches me, - there is so much joy on the faces of the singers and the lunchers as well. Joy to the World...
The knitted figures were made by my mother in law - if anybody would like the pattern please leave a comment and I will e-mail the pattern to you.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful knitted figure, honey. I can't knit to save my life and wouldn't even attempt it but she's certainly made a lovely job of that.

Thank you so much for the video clip. I think these Flash events are quite wonderful.

ReplyDeleteYour MIL sounds like mine Denise, she could knit for England. I used to knit but the arthritis in my fingers stops me now.
ReplyDeleteI love the knitted figure. The video isn't loading for me but I'll try later. Very good post for V.
ReplyDeleteThe knitted figures are just wonderful, love the shepherds and their sheep. And I love the flash mob had me singing away down in Suffolk!
ReplyDeleteGreat work... I wish I had the patience to knit like that---:)
ReplyDeleteLoved the video too...

ReplyDeleteThe knitted Nativity scene is so wonderful. I have seven Nativity sets, but none quite as unique at these. Do you sell them?
ReplyDeleteVery special Baby... And a wonderful verse from Isaiah.
What fun - terrific knitting and hard to beat vid!
ReplyDeleteYour mum-in-law is so creative. These knitted dolls have a special meaning for me, especially at this time. I will email you why.
ReplyDeleteYes, I will try to duplicate one of the dolls.
Very nicely done!

ReplyDeleteWonderful knitted figures. I love Hayden's music and what a great video. Wonder where it was filmed? The chap with the 'wet floor' sign made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI bet those shoppers didn't bargain for that when they sat down to eat their lunch. I'm loving the knitted nativity.
ReplyDeleteWhat talent your mother-in-law has! I don't think I'd have the patience to knit figures. The random acts of culture are amazing... love 'em!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous! The Messiah and fast food. I wish I could experience something like that. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove your MIL's knitting. Yes, please I would like the pattern, plus the one for the shepherds, if possible. I love the little sheep. Thanks.
Merry Christmas
A very special Baby!
ReplyDeleteWish I could knit... these figures are great! Send me anyway, maybe I can find me a volunteer to do the knitting for me ;-P
ReplyDeleteMaggie May pointed me to your nativity figures. I would love to have the pattern!
